Dr. Sukhilmi Bin Othman is a distinguished and compassionate doctor, renowned for his patience and dedication. With a remarkable 17-year tenure in the Malaysian Armed Forces as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Dr. Sukhilmi served both in rural areas, aiding the less fortunate with limited facilities, and in urban hospitals, assisting economically disadvantaged patients who could not afford private healthcare. Following his retirement from the armed forces, he transitioned to the private hospital sector and has been managing his own Maternity Hospital in Senawang for the past 10 years. His hospital offers comprehensive services ranging from delivery to infertility treatment for the local community.
Thanks to his military training and mindset, Dr. Sukhilmi maintains an open and innovative approach to healthcare. He was the first in Malaysia to pioneer the use of the ExEm Foam Kit for Tubal Patency Testing in 2015. This innovative procedure, known as Hysterosalpingo-Foam Sonography (HyFoSy), can be performed in the clinic using a TVS probe as an office-based procedure. This is a significant advancement compared to the traditional HSG or Lap & Dye procedures, which require hospital visits. The ExEm Foam Kit allows for convenient and accessible examination of fallopian tubes in any setting.
In 2019, Dr. Sukhilmi further revolutionized reproductive healthcare by introducing the low-cost, highly effective INVOcell technique in Malaysia. This groundbreaking treatment improves the accessibility of fertility services, making them affordable for financially constrained patients who would otherwise be unable to access such care typically available only to higher-income groups.
